Kim Yutani is the Director of Programming of the Sundance Film Festival. She began programming short films at Sundance in 2006, and later became a feature film programmer, focusing on US and international fiction feature films. She was instrumental in the creation of Sundance Film Festival: Hong Kong, and oversees a collaboration with the Berlinale’s European Film Market – part of the Sundance Film Festival at EFM program – which provides exposure and sales opportunities for Sundance films. Kim started her programming career at Outfest Los Angeles, one of the world’s leading LGBT festivals, where she was the Artistic Director and the Director of Programming. She has been a reader for Creative Capital, part of the short film nominating committee of Cinema Eye Honors for Nonfiction Filmmaking, and a programmer for the Provincetown Film Festival. She was recently named an A100 Honoree on Gold House’s list of the most influential Asian Americans in culture.
