This film by Danish director Laurits Flensted-Jensen tells the stories of three lost people struggling with reality. Laura comes back home after an adventurous but short-lived career as a porn actress in the US. Although there are still videos of her on the Internet, she tries to get her life together and cut her ties with the past. Her ex-boyfriend Niklas, a recovering drug addict, finds solace and inner peace by taking care of two men with Down’s syndrome. His younger brother Frederik desperately tries to gain the respect of street hooligans, which forces him to adopt a tough, alpha male image. Juxtaposing scenes from the past of the three main characters with their present circumstances, Flensted-Jensen reveals their complicated journey in search of themselves, characterised by hidden desires, social taboos and unfulfilled longings. At the same time he suggests that all three characters are trying to rebuild their worlds from scratch, often butting up against reality.
