Miriam and her family eagarly awaits her fast-approaching 15th birthday. The girl’s mother, Tere, is keen that finally her daughter’s boyfriend, whom she met on-line, will be introduced to her properly. At the first date though, shy Miriam cannot be fully herself and pretends to be someone she’s not in front of the boy. Despite the fact that her father is black, she hides that her boyfriend is not white either. She also starts to come up with more and more twisted stories about his life. As the typical coming of age drama unfolds, the protagonist’s dilemmas get more and more complicated and detachted from the reality she lives in. Directors Natalia Cabral and Oriol Estrada build up a traditional, at the first sight, story of growing up around the central teen character feeling all torned up and out of place. Social expectations, girls’ competitiveness and dreams, virtual sphere that dangerously impact the reality make up a special, subtle film portrait of one lost girl and her close sorrounding.
